Really? ……. Already?

It snowed today, I can’t believe it.  The Commander had the wood stove going full bore all day today.  The smell of baking bread and home made meatloaf filled the house as Jack Frost nipped at the windows.  For as bad as the weather was outside it sure was nice inside.

Are you ready for Winter?

This might not be nice, but I'm glad it was you and not me. I guess that means I'm really not ready. I need to spend a couple of weekends getting ready here. Hopefully, it doesn't last too long.

Teresa – It isn't going to snow this week but the overnight temps are going to be in the mid 20's so I may have to turn off the outside water. That means the water hauling begins way too early!Stacy – My thoughts exactly.Ian – Right there with you.Carolyn – We need to put up a bit more kindling and fire wood but one is never really prepared for the -20 F Winters her in Norther MN.Mary Ann – Ready or not here I come!??!

  7. Weather here is jumping around high 60's and back to the 80's today. Morning and evenings are cool, haven't turn on the heater yet, just adding more layers of clothes for now.

  8. Chai Chai says:

Tombstone – The heater has started running but I'm trying to ease into it by using the wood stove. Once it gets cold here it stays cold until Spring.

  9. Here in Australia today was completely the opposite- hot hot hot! Totally envying your snow although I'm not sure I'd like to be working out on the farm in it : )

  10. Chai Chai says:

Jingle Bells – Thank you for stopping bye! The worst thing about Winter here is hauling water buckets, what I wouldn't give for electricity and running water in the barns.
